ETIHAD Airways launched its inaugural service from Abu Dhabi to Larnaca in June, and since then has experienced a considerable demand for holiday packages to Cyprus.
This rise in bookings for Etihad Holidays has meant that Cyprus is now among the top 10 of its global destinations in terms of traveller’s choice. The holiday division of Etihad Airways has a number of packages to Larnaca, with fares starting from Dh1,960 ($533) for three nights at the four-star E-Hotel including return economy flights from Abu Dhabi.
Tony Gauci, Etihad Airways’ head of direct sales said, 'Cyprus is a wonderful travel destination which offers such an exciting mix of activities as well as relaxation for those wanting to just enjoy some time away to recharge.'
Three night’s accommodation at the luxurious Elysium, a five-star deluxe hotel, starts at Dh2,765 ($753). The hotel is within walking distance of the Tombs of the Kings, a large necropolis dating back to 4th Century and lying about two kilometres north west of Paphos harbour. This and its world class spa make this package an ideal getaway to one of Cyprus’ most treasured locations.
A day trip around the bustling capital Nicosia also offers an opportunity for shoppers to take in a 19th Century ‘folk neighbourhood’. Etihad Holidays also offers breaks to the Le Meridien Limassol Spa and Resort, with three nights including return airfares starting from Dh2,765. Prices quoted include breakfast and are per person sharing a twin room for the number of nights indicated for each hotel.
With its launch to Larnaca, the airline completed a hat trick of flights to destinations in the Mediterranean this summer – including are Athens and Istanbul.
