RAS Al Khaimah will see the opening of its first luxury resort later this year with the arrival of the Banyan Tree Al Wadi.

The property, set within its own reserve, will feature villas with hydrotherapy spa, private beach club, kids club and a range of activities. The resort has 70 block villas and 31 tented pool villas with dedicated spa rooms, a Banyan Tree Spa with 10 treatment rooms, 120 seat banquet hall and two seminar rooms, plus five outlets.

General manager Pascal Eppink said, “The property has already seen a large number of enquiries as well as bookings not only from Banyan tree clientele but also from the MICE market and from countries including Japan, India, across the GCC and Europe.”

The Banyan Tree Al Wadi is located in the Wadi Khadeja area and offers a natural reserve where wildlife roam free, outdoor adventure options and an 18 hole championship golf course.

“We can also offer guests use of cabanas at a private beach club near Al Hamra, and a further 20 beach villas will be constructed next to the site next year as well as a seafood restaurant,” said Eppink.

The resort will also offer falconry, camel transfers from the reception to villa and also plans to set up desert camps within the resort.

“We will also conduct regular exhibitions with local artisans to showcase life in Ras Al Khaimah. We believe it is important that our guests to experience what the emirate is all about,” he added.

The property will offer pre-opening rates then they open doors in September.
