Etihad Holidays’ new brochures
Etihad Holidays has launched two new summer programmes for 2009, one for the Middle East, Asia and Australia and another for Europe, North America and Africa. The move to publish two outbound programmes takes into account Etihad Airways’ increased flight network and contains new concepts such as signature hotels in many of the destinations, and the opportunity to upgrade flights and holiday accommodation. The brochures, which follow the opening of the Etihad Holidays’ shops in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain, feature holidays to 28 destinations in 10 countries with more than 129 hotels to choose from in Asia, the Middle East and Australia and 90 hotels, in 23 destinations located in 12 countries in Europe, America and Africa. Holidays to Paris start from Dh5,240 and include return economy airfares from Abu Dhabi and three nights accommodation.

Royal night in Hong Kong
Special packages at the Royal Park Hotel in Hong Kong are available for $280 per person in twin and $240 per person in a triple and $400 per person in a single room. Valid until August 31, rates include roundtrip transfers, a half day Hong Kong island tour, a  full day tour to Hong Kong Disneyland with an admission ticket and four nights accommodation with American buffet breakfasts at the four star Royal Park Hotel.  The hotel is a 16 storey twin tower offering 433 rooms and suites is located adjacent to the Shatin station, the East Rail Line of MTR, 25 minutes from China by rail and 45 minutes from the Hong Kong International Airport. Nearby is New Town Plaza, one of the largest shopping and entertainment complex in Hong Kong with over 400 shops and a 10 screen cinema. The hotel overlooks the Shing Mun River and the Shatin Central Park. Horseracing takes place at the Shatin Racecourse on weekends nine months of the year.

Family friendly Emirates
Emirates launched a ‘Kids Go Free’ promotion offering families substantial savings when visiting Dubai on Emirates. Coinciding with Dubai Summer Surprises and running until September 20, the promotion allows see one child under the age of 16 years to fly free and up to two children to stay, eat and play in Dubai for free when travelling with two paying adults. The promotion is applicable for passengers travelling with Emirates to Dubai from select destinations around the world and includes meet and assist service at Dubai International Airport.  A total of 33 hotels in Dubai are participating, from a six star luxury hotel to serviced apartments. In addition to free flights, accommodation and meals children will also have free entry to a wide range of Dubai’s attractions. The Dubai Mall will also provide each family with discounts to be utilised within the mall.

Kempinski beat the heat weekends
Kempinski Ajman is inviting guests to break free with a two day “Beat the Heat” weekend pass that gives them access to many recreational activities and outstanding discount offers, according to Ulrich Eckhardt, managing director, Kempinski Hotel Ajman. The Laguna Beach Club of the hotel offers a Beat the Heat weekend pass valid for Friday and Saturday for Dh350 per person, which includes room, use of the private beach and the swimming pool. On top of that, a game of bowling at Cosmic Bowling is offered, valid on Friday or Saturday before 8 pm, as well as a 10 per cent discount on Laguna Spa treatments and a 40 per cent rental discount on any of the water sports equipment from the Dolphin Water Sports Centre.
