Al Rostamani launches 2009 brochures
Al Rostamani Travel and Holidays has launched their new brochure, Destinations … and more, 2009 - 2010. This year they have introduced two brochures. Heinz Gabel, general manager at Al Rostamani Travel and Holidays, commented “At Al Rostamani Travel and Holidays, we want the excitement of the vacation to begin right from the moment you start choosing your holiday destination.” One brochure features Europe and the Americas, and the other brochure features Africa, Middle East, Indian Ocean, Asia and Australasia. Prices are not included in the brochures since prices keep changing due to seasonal fluctuations in the destinations, thereby reducing the validity period of printed pricing. The two brochures feature 36 popular destinations including Ireland, Eastern Europe, Spain, Indonesia and Vietnam. The company recently opened a new branch at the Oasis Centre and have plans to expand further with two more openings in Sharjah and Al Ain.
World Routes convene in Beijing

New air services and route recovery strategies are expected to be a particular focus. New at this year’s event is that tourism authorities will now be able to pre-schedule one-to-one meetings with airlines for this year’s World Routes.

Exhibitions vital in times of downturn - ITTFA
“Face to face communication is the most successful form of selling – in today’s digital world, the exhibition is one of the rare occasions where this is possible,” stated Maria Badakh, event and sales director, ITE Exhibitions Travel Division, a comment that sums up the importance of exhibitions in these times of economic downturn. Members of ITTFA, International Tourism Trade Fairs Association, of which ITE is one, are collectively focusing on the positive aspects of the current global crisis and advocating the advantages of maintaining market visibility. For many companies, the first area to be trimmed is marketing, advertising and promotional events, but maintaining a presence in advertising and trade shows is shown to be critical to a company’s growth and success, reported Badakh. One of the main reasons for exhibitors to take part in a trade show is that it is the most efficient way to make multiple customer contacts in a short period of time. ITTFA believes there is no substitute for face to face contact.
