ASIA Luxury Travel Market (ALTM), for which TTN Middle East is a media partner this year, returns to the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from June 15 to 18 with a strong turnout of both returning and new exhibitors.
“ALTM is pleased to see continued support and commitment from leaders in the global luxury travel industry. This year we are also proud to welcome a host of new exhibitors from around the world and spanning the industry,” said Christina Wood, exhibition director.
Returning exhibitors with a presence in the Middle East that will be present at this year’s event include Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, Anantara Resorts, Conde Nast Johansens, Government of Dubai, Hyatt Hotels and Resort, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Jumeirah, Preferred Hotel Group, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces and WORLDHOTELS.
New exhibitors at ALTM, which is organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions and is a sister event to International Luxury Travel Market held annually at Cannes, include Oman Ministry of Tourism & Industry, Emirates Airlines, Switzerland Tourism, Estonia Luxury Hotels and Resorts, the prestigious African safari lodge Morukuru, Twin Palms in Phuket, Vail Resorts, Zendai Hotel Yin and the five star Zendai Art Hotel and Prestige Hotels of the World.
The annual event brings together the Asia Pacific’s most important travel buyers with the world’s leading luxury tourism destinations and this year the show is proving to be more important than ever in the current economic climate and not just because of the pressure to make their marketing efforts more effective, as commented by some of this year’s returning exhibitors.
“This will be Silversea’s third year of participation at ALTM. The event is a proven platform to showcase our product to a highly targeted audience. With the difficult economic climate it’s even more important to be highly visible, especially as the Asian markets are proving more resilient than others around the world” said Steve Odell, senior vice president, Silversea Cruises.
Organised like a private club, the invitation-only event showcases the leading global luxury travel suppliers to hosted VIP travel buyers from Asia. The exhibition takes place in a highly exclusive environment in which buyers and sellers meet on a unique pre-arranged appointment system.
