AS part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air is helping two schools serving the disadvantaged communities around Gokarna Forest in Kathmandu, Nepal by providing them with educational items.
The airline donated essentials such as laptops, projectors, DVD players and other useful items to students and teachers of Shree Bhagyodaya Higher Secondary School and Shree Chalantar Lower Secondary School.
“As an airline that has been flying between Bahrain and Nepal for several years, we consider ourselves as part of the community it serves,” said Gulf Air chief executive officer Björn Näf.
“It is gratifying to see even a modest help can bring about considerable difference to these children’s learning experience. It is a reflection of our care and commitment towards developing young minds, wherever they are.”
