Doha’s first Tapas restaurant opens

THE Ramada Plaza Doha opened the doors to its newest restaurant earlier this year. Spanish Tapas bar Picasso’s, located on the first floor of the east wing, is one of 20 specialty restaurants and bars at the hotel.
Tapas is the Spanish name given to a range of appetizers which are served both hot and cold along with beverages and shared among a group of people.  “The serving of Tapas is thought to encourage conversation because people are not so much focused on eating an entire meal,” said Robin Hawksworth, food and beverage manager at the hotel.
The restaurant is named after Pablo Picasso, the most famous of Andalusia’s sons.  Open from 6 pm daily, an authentic and vibrant range of Tapas, traditional and those with a twist of the Mediterranean.   A wide selection of specially imported Spanish beverages and home made ‘Sangria’s’ is also available.
The hotel also houses Qube, the largest nightclub in Doha. Accommodation at the five star Ramada Plaza is in 584 rooms and suites, all modern, spacious and with complimentary high speed internet/WIFI access.
The hotel is centrally located close to shopping and business districts and has meetings and conference facilities for up to 600 people.
