Share

STARTING this month Austrian Airlines will be expanding its capacity to Dubai with a Boeing 767, as well as increasing its flight schedule from Dubai to Vienna.
The aircraft offers 235 seats on more than half its flights from and to the United Arab Emirates. The new step represents an almost 20 per cent expansion in seating capacity, meaning that Austrian Airlines will now offer up to 120 business class seats a day on the route– twice as many as before.
Business class travellers on the 767 get real leather lie-flat sleeper seats of two metres in length with legroom of up to 150 cm. Economy class offers a special price plus there are enhanced design elements including an adjustable reading lamp, an extra large TV screen as well as an in-chair massage function.
The new flight schedule operating between Dubai to Vienna uses an Airbus A320 or Boeing 737 every day except Sunday and Wednesday; as well as a daily (except Tuesday) flight using a Boeing 767.
The airline last month officially opened an Al Ain Branch. All enquiries and tickets can be handled at the new office, and for passengers coming from Al Ain, a transfer service to Dubai International Airport will be provided for their safety and convenience.
A special promotion with Emirates NBD Company continues until the end of this month: the airline is offering up to 50 per cent discount on tickets in business and economy class for selected cities in Europe, USA and Canada. This is applicable to tickets purchased with DNATA Emirates and Emirates NBD credit cards. The travel period is valid until 31 May 31, 2009.
Holiday packages are available from Austrian Airlines until March 31, 2009, between Dubai and various destinations in Austria including Vienna, Budapest, Graz, Munich, Prague and Salzburg.
