Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), the national carrier of Switzerland, began flying passengers from Dubai on board the new Airbus A340 aircraft in December.
The new long hauler, which offers 228 seats in a three class cabin configuration, is deployed for passengers on the Muscat-Dubai-Zurich route.
“SWISS is always looking in to the interest of our travellers and with the A340, we take convenience and comfort to a whole new level. The launch of the A340 is a very important step for us as we continue to solidify our presence in the region,” said Martin Massuger, director, head of sales Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and Iran for SWISS. “We have a number of products and services that we plan to launch in the near future.”
SWISS also recently launched their mobile phone booking service which lets customers anywhere in the world can now book any SWISS flight online from any mobile phone with internet capability via the mobile.swiss.com portal. The new portal created for the service also features further useful information on departure and arrival times along with SWISS’s full flight schedules.
This year will see new first-of-its-kind, business class seats to provide utmost comfort and privacy to Middle East travellers.
During winter, SWISS operates non-stop daily flights from Dubai to Zurich, daily flights from Muscat, Oman, five weekly flights from Cairo and four weekly flights from Riyadh and Jeddah.
