Selfridges for luxury shopping

Visitors hoping to take advantage of the ‘Shop Till You Drop’ shopping spree offer announced earlier in the year by VisitBritian had better hurry – the offer runs out at the end of April.

In partnership with Maison De La France and Visa, VisitBritain announced a joint campaign in both the UAE and Kuwait, in which travellers can take advantage of shopping packages to Manchester, London, Paris and Nice with prices starting from as little as Dh3250 inclusive of flights, accommodation, rail tickets and a variety of discount vouchers.
VisitBritain and Maison De La France teamed up with travel agents Al Rostamani  and Al Tayer Travel in Dubai, Omeir Travel in Abu Dhabi, and Jumbo Travel in Kuwaitto to sell this package.
All travellers who book this offer through the selected travel agents and pay with their visa card will receive complimentary discount cards and shopping vouchers so they can indulge in designer and high street shopping in places like The Trafford Centre, Lowry Outlet Mall and Manchester United Megastore in Manchester.
In addition they will receive discount booklets to shop for the biggest designer brands for a fraction of the original price from Bicester Village just outside London, as well as more discounts at La Vallee Outlet Shopping Village and Galeries Lafayette in Paris.
Anyone that registers on the website is eligible to enter a big draw for a chance to win a trip for two to Britain and France and shopping vouchers in the UAE and Kuwait worth more than Dh12,000.
Itineraries suggested are four nights in both London and Paris or five nights in London, Paris and Nice or five nights in London, Paris and Manchester.  The travel agents will be encouraging visitors to take the train from Manchester to London and then take the London to Paris train service with Eurostar. The high speed train links the new St Pancras Station in London to the heart of Paris in two hours and 15 minutes.
‘We are delighted to have partnered with Visa and Maison De La France to offer this kind of package to travellers. This campaign introduces a successful partnership between the UK and France tourist boards where we join forces to offer travellers two great destinations combined with great shopping,’ said Carol Maddison, VisitBritain regional marketing manager.
‘Since shopping is a national pastime for Middle East residents, we see this partnership having immense appeal and we are confident that Arab as well as expatriate travelers will find this truly the ultimate shopping getaway,’ said Pascal Lepetre, director, Maison De La France.
