SAMED Resorts in Thailand has launched Romance, Half Price and One Price packages within the group’s five resorts, which range from the three-star to luxury.
The packages are available for trips from now until September 30.
The six-kilometre island 72 kms southeast of Pattaya in the Gulf of Thailand is known for its squeaky white sands and fringing coral reefs.
At only 13 sq km, and with no paved roads, Samed is much smaller than other Thai holiday islands such as Phuket, Samui and Chang. Nevertheless, stylish new accommodation options now mean that the island is establishing itself as a desirable beach alternative in Thailand.
Four of the five packages for summer 2007 include two nights’ accommo-dation for two people, one lunch and one dinner for two, daily breakfast, roundtrip boat transfer from the mainland, and entrance fee for the Khao Laem Ya-Mu Koh Samed National Park.
Each Romance package varies in price reflecting choice of room type and the type of property. Visitors can choose “Romance” packages for any of the following three resorts: Paradee – one of the premier beach resorts in Thailand with 40 luxurious villas and two beaches. Romance package prices (inclusive of tax) range from $817 for a garden villa to $3,112 for the ultimate suite villa experience on the beach. Price includes roundtrip speedboat transfer.
Sai Kaew Beach Resort – a 86 unit resort at the northern tip of Sai Kaew Beach which is known for its slowly shelving fine sands. The resort’s romantic La Luna Italian restaurant on the rocks offers night views across the water to the lights on the mainland.
Romance packages vary from $220 for a superior room to $634 for a two-bedroom suite.
Ao Prao Resort – a 52-unit resort on a quiet beach surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens. Romance packages vary from $279 for a superior to US$716 for a two-bedroom suite.
The Le Vimarn Half Price package ranges from $288 for deluxe to $841 for the spa villa suite. The Le Vimarn, also on Ao Prao beach, offers a full range of spa treatments at its Dhivarin spa retreat. The Le Vimarn Half Price package does not include a lunch and dinner.
The competitively priced Samed Club One Price package is $165 for all room types and offers the same meal and transfer arrangements as the Romance packages.
