Haddad: ‘thought luxury’, not bought luxury

Tiara Hotels & Resorts is a new luxury hospitality concept that is being launched in the UAE, with the aim of opening and operating a number of iconic installations in key gateway locations in the local, regional and international marketplace.

The hotel management company is a subsidiary of Zabeel Investments, a UAE-based, multi-diversified investment company focused on commercial real estate development and management.
Tiara hopes to appeal to visionary travellers who are tired of the formulaic style and service that is common among other high-end hotel groups, CEO Danny Haddad told TTN via email. “We will allow our guests to take control of their environment by offering them the tools to sculpt their own experience each time they visit a Tiara installation. Tiara Hotels & Resorts is a unique hospitality concept that will focus on thought luxury over bought luxury, and will appeal to travellers seeking an individualistic experience over ostentation.”
The first Tiara property will open in summer 2008 on The Palm Jumeirah followed by a second property on Sheikh Zayed Road in the winter of 2009. Others will then follow within the region and internationally. “We will open and operate a number of iconic installations in key gateway locations in the local, regional and international marketplace,” said Haddad.
Haddad declined to comment on the company’s launch capital or its long term portfolio plan. Tiara is an operating company that will manage the hotels on behalf of Zabeel Investments.
Haddad was appointed CEO of Tiara Hotels & Resorts in May 2006, heading up the launch team of this new and exciting luxury hospitality concept. During the last year, his vision, energy and foresight have played a crucial role in breathing life into this unique and unprecedented project.
