At Bamurru Plains

AGENTS looking to sell Version 2.0 of the safari experience would do well to google Bamurru Plains.

The Northern Territory property is currently being promoted by Wilderness Australia and added to several of its upmarket and exclusive tailor-made safari itineraries, says the agency’s Amanda Fisher.
Wild bush luxury, then, as offered by the property, translates into several key elements that are crucial to a truly exclusive stay in the bush: a supremely comfortable bed and quality linen, great bathrooms, good food and wine and excellent guiding, says a company statement. “The style of experience is utterly exclusive, rustically chic and totally in tune with the surrounding country.”
And while there, your client can go fishing or wildlife watching, on a crocodile cruise, or even on an airboat trip to see the extraordinary birdlife up close.
Package rates are A$850 ($671) per person per night, twin sharing for a minimum of two nights, including meals, beverages and most activities.
Alternatively, for the GCC tourist that’s been and done the obvious spots Down Under, North Queensland is a logical destination, with Tourism Australia’s Andrew Oldfield recommending Cairns and Port Douglas.
Quicksilver Cruises takes tourists to spots around the Great Barrier Reef, including Agincourt Reef, the outermost point on the reef, and the Low Isles, an unspoilt coral island that appeals to everyone, according to the company’s website. Cruises cost A$189, and additional snorkelling tours guided by marine biologists come at $58. Also available are helicopter flights, diving, deep sea fishing and more.
Tourism Australia (www.tourism.australia.com) regional office will be able to suggest more choices.
