MEED showcases emerging opportunities in RAK

MEED, in association with the Investment & Development Office, of the government of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), has brought together over 30 international investors and business leaders to discuss the wealth of opportunities that are available in this fast emerging emirate.

In particular the event will focus on the growing opportunities in the real estate, tourism, energy and manufacturing sectors.
The Ras Al Khaimah Conference 2007 will take place at the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah on February 12 and 13.
Over two days, leading stakeholders in the emirate’s development will discuss the numerous geographical, logistical and economic advantages of investing in this rapidly developing and fast emerging market. Confirmed speakers at the conference already include leading representatives from Abraaj Capital, CB Richard Ellis, Global Investment House, Mashreqbank, RAK Properties, Rotana Hotels Corporation and Saraya Islands.
The event is being held under the patronage of and features a keynote address by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
RAK is one of the new emerging centres for trade and investment in the Gulf. Only one hour by road from Dubai and a superbly located at heart of the Arabian Gulf, it boasts a diverse range of commercially attractive opportunities for GCC and international investors alike.
According to a MEED statement, “Ras Al Khaimah is emerging as a market of significant interest in the region. MEED undertaking this project is recognition of the growing interest in the Emirate from key investors, particularly those in the GCC.”
