MARRIOTT International will introduce its deluxe Marriott Executive Apartments lodging brand for extended stay travellers in Cairo, Egypt in a long-term management agreement reached with ETAG Real Estate Development & Touristic Investment.
It will be Marriott’s third property in Cairo and ninth in Egypt.
When open, the Marriott Executive Apartments Cairo Nile Dolphin will be part of a mixed-use residential complex being developed on the west bank of the Nile river, 25 minutes’ drive south of the city center and easily accessible from the main ring road. It is approximately 30km from Cairo International Airport. The development also includes four 10-storey apartment buildings, a 20-slip marina, four stand-alone restaurants, a 4,000sqm shopping centre, a private health club, a 900 square meter conference centre and a 230 meter private Nile River promenade. Cairo-based Pavilion International Consulting are the architects.

The Marriott Executive Apartments Cairo Nile Dolphin will offer fully furnished and equipped one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Recreational amenities will include an indoor swimming pool with an outdoor barbecue area and a health and leisure club offering men’s and women’s lockers with separate sauna and whirlpool. The property will also host a casual coffee shop serving three meals daily and which will be equipped with an internet café and a Grab & Go kiosk. Other amenities will include a resident’s lounge, room service serving a limited menu, and underground parking.
Currently, there are 13 Marriott Executive Apartments properties in major gateway cities around the world including two in Dubai.
Dotcom anniversary
Marriott International celebrates the 10th anniversary of Marriott.com, which has been recognized as one of the industry’s fastest hotel sites according to Gomez Advisors. The site now receives more than 13 million visits a month with visitors spending 1.6 million hours on the site. This is six times more than the voice channels (1-800-Marriott).
Today, the site generates approximately 1,400 reservations per hour and over 15 per cent of gross reservations, compared to just 0.03% in 1996.
