Escape with the family to the InterCon Doha

THE InterContinental Doha balances the modern and traditional Arabian welcome and with the return of its Summer Camp programme, it is the ideal family vacation spot for the coming season.

Situated in a quiet area at the West Bay Lagoon, yet centrally located near the city and just a few minutes from the business district and the Doha Golf Club, it is an idyllic setting for business and leisure.
Two hundred and nine spacious rooms and 36 suites offer splendid view of the pool and the beach. Its contemporary dining experience and numerous options at the hotel include The Café restaurant featuring local and international favourites, La Moda Italian restaurant, Paloma Tex-Mex restaurant and bar, Sultan Ibrahim Fish Market seafood restaurant and the Lobby Lounge.
The Club InterContinental floor offers the business traveller a range of benefits and privileges. Business facilities include meeting rooms; break-out rooms and a ballroom ideal for any exhibition or social event.
The hotel’s Bay Club, overlooking the outdoor swimming pool and beach, has a state-of-the-art gymnasium, steam room, sauna and massage treatments. The recreation area can provide hours of fun whatever your preference – from fitness to non-fitness activities, in or out of the water. Whether taking a dip in the free-form outdoor swimming pool or strolling barefoot along a 400-metre private beach, guests will instantly discern the high quality of the service and facilities.
In addition to water sports activities, catamarans, water bikes, a five-metre water trampoline in the lagoon, wind surfing and sailing are all available, with lessons. Tennis, squash and a wide variety of activities are also available to help guests maintain fitness levels at all times.
And for the children, the hotel offers a full schedule of activities.
This year’s annual summer camp programme will provide a truly unique experience for children from six to 12 years, according to a hotel spokesman. Activities have been planned to avoid the intense summer heat and will commence daily on weekdays at 10am through until 5pm, including lunch. These include swimming, tennis, talent shows, meet the chef, arts and crafts, water polo, squash, bouncy castle, snorkelling, scuba diving, football, table tennis and a hotel tour. On Wednesday evenings, the hotel will host an overnight camp including a BBQ on the beach with a round the camp fire sing-a-long.
