
Ritz-Carlton to open first hotel in Russia
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, will open its first property in Russia, a 332-room hotel in Moscow.
The premiere of the 11-storey hotel will offer sophisticated travelers a new address that redefines service and luxurious accommodations in the capital city. “Our expansion into Russia signifies an exciting strategic move for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow will feature the largest guest rooms in the city plus 76 suites including The Ritz-Carlton Suite. Hi-tech guest room features include electronic room control touch panels. The signature Ritz-Carlton Club Level will be located on the top two floors of the hotel offering impressive views of Red Square and will provide an exceptional level of privacy and exclusive services for guests.
Kempinski in deal with Bulgarian hotel
Kempinski Hotels have signed an agreement with Sunny Travel EOOD to manage the first five-star luxury hotel at the Golden Sands Resort, Varna in Bulgaria. Designed by Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, the Kempinski Hotel Grand Hermitage will be the largest hotel in Kempinski’s portfolio, with 730 rooms and suites, and will definitely be the resort’s leading hotel. Due to soft-open during summer 2005, the hotel will feature a two-level Presidential Suite on its top floors, conference facilities for up to 300 guests in the grand ballroom and break-out and board rooms. The in-house brewery, Asian restaurant and Italian lobby café will be complemented by two live-music bars, indoor and outdoor pool cafés as well as a casino. Varna is also a popular holiday destination, with the Golden Sands Resort situated just 17 km outside the city.
Hilton Barbados offers agents 80 per cent off
Hilton Barbados, the newest addition to the Hilton Worldwide Resorts has been officially opened. To celebrate, the resort invites travel agents to stay and save with an ultra-low rate of $50 per night including breakfast, until December 16, 2005. Agents can also offer their clients a special deal. Hilton Barbados will open with two exclusive treats for Hilton HHonors members. Members of Hilton’s renowned loyalty programme can earn either quadruple HHonors Base points or quadruple airline miles with rates starting at $260 per night, for stays through August 31, 2005. Hilton Barbados enjoys a prime location on the lush tropical peninsula of Needham’s Point. The hotel boasts 350 ocean-view guestrooms, including 77 executive floor rooms and 33 suites.
Hilton signs contract for Bangalore property
Hilton International signed a management contract for a 250-unit Hilton Residences in Bangalore at the Embassy Golf Links Business Park. The Hilton Residences Bangalore, which offers one, two and three bedroom units, will be the only five-star serviced apartment hotel in the city of Bangalore and the only accommodation available within the 55-acre Business Park. The property is surrounded by 5 million sq ft of commercial space and overlooks a golf course. The Hilton Residences Bangalore, which is due for completion in 2007, will feature 250 apartments ranging from 54 sqm to 180 sqm. For the meeting professionals, the hotel will offer a business centre, six meeting rooms with a capacity for 30 delegates and two luxury boardrooms suitable for prestigious senior meetings for up to 20 participants.
