Langham Hotel … popular among Arab visitors

THE Langham Hotel, London, has unveiled an exclusive guest service tailored to meet the social and cultural requirements of its Middle Eastern visitors.

A special Middle East summer promotion offering exceptional value at the hotel’s deluxe club suite, the Langham Club, complements the initiative, both of which made their debut at ATM 2005.
Last year the Langham Hotel, London, registered a 16 per cent rise in inbound visitors from the region following a 23.6 per cent increase the previous year. The dedicated guest service is designed to offer maximum comfort and convenience to both leisure and business travellers through offering a host of features including Halal menus; prayer carpets and the Holy Quran; Arabic-speaking staff; Arabic language information and hotel literature.
Visitors opting for the Langham Club, however, can enjoy its sumptuous surroundings and many complimentary services for as little as $541 a night. The special offer runs from now through to September.
The hotel’s owner, Langham Hotels International (LHI), earlier this year announced that it had allocated a significant chunk of its 2005 global marketing spend to the Middle East. LHI’s director of sales and marketing, Diana Banks, said: “These packages are devised to offer even greater comfort and added value for our Middle East visitors and are the first of many services which we will developing for the region’s travellers.”
Formerly The Langham Hilton, the Langham Hotel London, reverted to its original name when phase one of a multi-million-pound refurbishment culminated in the launch of its ultra-deluxe Infinity Suite in January.
“Our proximity to London’s famous shopping district – Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street – plus its theatres and museums means that historically, the Langham Hotel, London has always been popular among Arab visitors,” added Banks. “Hopefully our new dedicated services recognise and, to some extent, rewards that loyalty and demonstrates our commitment to the Middle East.”
Voted UKinbound (formerly the British Incoming Tour Operators Association) Hotel of the Year 2004, the Langham Hotel, London is the city’s first ‘Grand Hotel’ having opened in 1865.
