The world’s largest foreign exchange operator has opened two bureaux at Bahrain International Airport.
British Ambassador Robin Lamb, Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA) director of licensing and policy Ahmed Al Bassam and airport director Nabil Ali Taqi were present at the Travelex opening.
The new bureaux have been opened as a joint venture between Travelex and the Jawad Business Group. “Travelex is the world’s largest foreign exchange specialist. We are delighted to have a 40-60 venture with Travelex,” said Jawad Business Group chairman and chief executive officer Faisal Jawad.
The Travelex bureaux are located in the departure and arrival areas of the airport.
“We are absolutely delighted to be opening operations in Bahrain,” added Travelex director for Middle East and Africa Mark Smith. But that’s not all. Two more Travelex bureaux were due to open at the airport at the time of going to press. Travelex Bahrain is the second airport operation in the Middle East, with the first established in Oman’s Seeb Airport last year.
