A new report from Hilton has revealed a strong focus on relaxation, family bonding and eco-conscious travel as key travel trends for UAE residents in 2025.
Family vacations are a top priority for UAE travellers, with nearly half (45 per cent) planning trips to spend quality time with loved ones. A significant number of younger travellers (36 per cent) are also planning trips with their parents. When travelling with children, UAE residents often choose destinations they themselves once dreamed of visiting, with a focus on creating lasting memories and immersing themselves in local culture.
Rest and relaxation are paramount for UAE travellers, indicates the report. Many prioritise beach and poolside activities, spa treatments and wellness experiences. A notable 81 per cent value being pampered during their trips, and 71 per cent enjoy leisurely days by the water. To ensure a good night’s sleep, 43 per cent often book hotels with wellness or spa facilities.
Sustainability is increasingly important to UAE travellers, with 84 per cent seeking eco-friendly options and sustainable practices. They also appreciate transparency from hotels about their sustainability initiatives.
More than half of UAE travellers plan to increase their leisure travel in 2025 and nearly a third (31 per cent) have already booked at least one trip for the upcoming year. The vast majority (85 per cent) want the ability to book a whole trip entirely online and a similar number (87 per cent) want the ability to speak to someone if they have an issue or questions when booking. Lastly, 80 per cent like to have an agenda for each day of their trip.
