Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Treasure, is set to embark on its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral, Florida on December 21, 2024, with a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise, giving families in the GCC the perfect chance to spend their winter holidays at sea.
This will be followed by an inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Disney Treasure will offer guests immersive experiences inspired by Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel.
Sister to the Disney Wish, launched in 2022, the ship’s design draws inspiration from the bold and heartwarming stories of beloved Disney characters, reflecting Walt Disney’s legendary passion for travel and exploration.
Onboard, guests will find fan-favourite spaces from the Disney Wish, reimagined with a focus on adventure and inspired by stories like “Aladdin,” “Coco,” and “Zootopia.”
The Disney Treasure will introduce a new family entertainment restaurant, Plaza de Coco, themed after the Disney and Pixar film “Coco.” This theatrical dining experience offers a festive atmosphere with Mexican-inspired cuisine and live entertainment.
Worlds of Marvel, another dining option, celebrates Avengers characters and stories. This high-tech venue features a worldly menu and special entertainment, including two distinct shows inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
1923, named after the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios, celebrates Disney’s animation legacy. This upscale venue offers a sophisticated menu inspired by California’s cultural flavors and features exploration-themed artwork from classic and modern animated films.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Disney Treasure will offer a variety of entertainment options for families, including new and beloved Disney Cruise Line shows. The Grand Hall, themed after “Aladdin,” will serve as a central gathering space for shows, character encounters, and musical performances.
Sarabi, an adult-exclusive lounge inspired by “The Lion King,” will feature daytime activities and evening entertainment. The Walt Disney Theatre will showcase Broadway-style productions like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.”
For younger guests, Hero Zone, Wonderland, and Never Land Cinemas offer immersive experiences inspired by Marvel superheroes, Disney stories, and cinematic adventures.
The upper decks of the Disney Treasure feature three distinct districts for water activities, dining, and relaxation. Mickey’s District offers seven pools, lounge chairs, a splash zone, and AquaMouse, an exciting water ride.
Adults can also enjoy exclusive experiences tailored just for them. Periscope Pub, inspired by “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” offers a submarine-styled atmosphere with craft brews and light bites. Skipper Society, themed after the Jungle Cruise attraction, features a natural colourway and camp-style furnishings.
GOURMET DINING
The Disney Treasure offers a variety of dining options, including upscale venues like Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement. The Rose, an exclusive lounge, is inspired by the “Beauty and the Beast” film.
Senses Spa offers indulgent spa and beauty treatments, while Senses Fitness provides state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facilities.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The Disney Treasure features luxurious accommodations, including staterooms with ocean views, connecting doors, and upscale amenities. Concierge-level suites offer additional luxury and a private lounge with a sun deck. The staterooms on board are built with families in mind and feature upscale amenities. Most will include Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept, and many will offer the option of a connecting door that adjoins staterooms to accommodate larger groups voyaging together – with 451 connecting doors in all. In addition, most of the ship’s 1,256 staterooms will offer an ocean view – including 877 with a veranda.
EXPANSION
Disney Cruise Line will add four new vessels to its growing fleet scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2031.
