The 23rd edition of the Airport Show opened in Dubai on May 14, this year, amidst brightest growth outlook for the aviation industry. Dubai will be spending $37.7 billion on expansion of its two airports. 2024 will see an all-time high of 9.4 billion passengers globally. Middle East airports will be handling 1.1 billion passengers by 2040. The Middle East airport capacity expansion requires $151 billion in investments, it was revealed at the event.
