Avis Saudi fleet to undergo revampAvis in Saudi Arabia is making additions and upgrades to its fleet, and so far this year has added the Hyundai Elantra, Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, Chevrolet Lumina and Mercury Grand Marquis. This will ensure that travellers to Saudi Arabia will have a wide range of up to date models available from which to choose, said an official from the company.
Travellers arriving at Jeddah and renting with Avis also have the advantage of using their new, and much larger, bus for service between the terminal and car rental parking areas. The bus allows much easier entry and exit, and has increased space inside to store luggage. In addition, Avis Saudi Arabia has opened a new downtown rental office in Khobar in the Eastern Province, (near the intersection of King Abdulaziz Road and Dharan Road). Avis Lebanon have launched their new website at www.avis.com.lb. On the site one can find packages for long term rental, buy used cars, and make reservations for short term rental both in Lebanon and for all Avis' international locations. Check out the 'Hot Deals' section, which has frequent special offers such as discounts and upgrades, only available if you book online. In addition, Avis Lebanon has opened a new rental office at Holiday Inn Dunes, making a total of 11 locations where you can book or collect your car from Avis. Last year Avis introduced a new All-in-One rate specially designed for travellers to key European destinations, and the USA. By quoting a special Avis Worldwide Discount number K890500, customers can obtain competitive rates. All-in-One rates include unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver, theft protection, taxes, surcharges and vehicle license fee. Rates start from $175 per week (for a week's rental of a Group A vehicle in Germany). Avis is partners with many of the airlines which serve the region, including Saudi Arabian Airlines, Kuwait Airways, Turkish Airlines, British Airways, KLM and Air France. Travellers can earn points or miles when they fly with a partner airline and rent with Avis.
