The Ritz-Carlton Doha has appointed Craig Senior as its new director of sales and marketing.
Senior comes to Qatar from Bali where he held a similar position at The Ritz-Carlton Bali; the hotel voted among the best by Conde Nast Traveler and Travel and Leisure magazines. He brings more than 23 years of experience in the industry and has previously worked with Hyatt International as director of sales in Birmingham, director of rooms at the Hyatt Regency in Dubai and the director of sales and marketing at the Grand Hyatt Muscat. Senior was on the pre-opening team in Muscat and remained with the hotel until he moved to join The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in July 2000. He will oversee all sales, marketing and public relations efforts for the property. "The opportunity to return to the Gulf and come to Doha was an exciting prospect for myself and my family. Not only to work in such a dynamic new property but to also work hand-in-hand with the State of Qatar," said Senior.
