The Marriott Riyadh ... first hotel of the group in the Middle East.

Marriott International started its Middle East operations in Riyadh in 1979. Now the international hotel chain has properties in Riyadh and Jeddah, and plans to open a further 150-room hotel in Madinah this autumn.

The 210-room Jeddah Marriott is a five-star downtown hotel located in the heart of the business district. The spacious rooms make guests feel truly at home, while the entertainment and recreational facilities provide a constant attraction.

For business, the hotel has eight meeting rooms, providing 1,111 sq m of meeting space, in addition to an executive floor and a full business centre.

For leisure, guests can enjoy the outdoor pool and healthclub, the whirlpool and sauna. Only 25km from the beach, the hotel also offers the perfect opportunity to brush up on some watersport skills.

There are a number of special summer offers, which continue until September. The hotel is offering a discount of 50 per cent on room rates, and children aged 12 under can stay free with parents, and eat for 50 per cent less.

On the theme of '50', guests can add SR50 to an established room rate, to get one of the hotel's 50 suites.

For leisure breaks, the Jeddah Marriott is offering special golf and dive packages. Keen golfers will jump at the chance of a two-night stay for only SR777 inclusive for single or SR1,111 inclusive for double room.

This rate includes accommodation in a deluxe room, with breakfast buffet, green fees, complimentary pick up and drop off at the golf course (and airport), lunch buffet on the green, and 30 per cent discount on food and beverage.

The Riyadh Marriott is similarly well placed, enjoying a central location near the ministries, banks and commercial sector. With easy access to the airport the hotel is only five minutes drive to downtown.

The hotel features Marriott's renowned 'room that works', and all 378 rooms are specifically designed for the business traveller.

For business, the hotel boasts five meeting rooms, a full business centre and an executive floor. There is also an express check in, check out service to speed things up for busy travellers.

The hotel features an outdoor pool, health club and sauna, and is only 45km away from Dirab Golf Course.

The Riyadh Marriott has a special rate of SR260 for single/double rooms, with executive rooms costing SR335. Suites are on 50 per cent discount over the summer, and all guests get a 15 per cent discount in hotel outlets.

The hotel is also running a special summer promotion until September 13. All Marriott Rewards guests have the chance to win free round trip tickets or accommodation for Amman, Beirut, Cairo, Dubai and Jeddah.
