Soneva Resorts and Residences, has announced a ‘Live like a Millionaire’ competition for the global travel trade industry, with a prize offering worth $250,000.
To participate, agents have to confirm bookings for villas of three bedrooms and above at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives or Soneva Kiri in Thailand for stays until March 31, 2016. The person who generates the highest value of bookings until December 31, 2015 will win a seven-night stay in a luxurious villa for eight people with full board, plus business-class flights and resort transfers. 'This is certainly one of the largest prizes offered in the travel industry and we expect significant interest and strong competition,' says Sonu Shivdasani, CEO and founder of Soneva. 'This will be the holiday of a lifetime for the winning agent. We will pay for them and seven of their friends or family to fly from anywhere around the world on business class flights and spend seven nights in one of our enormous luxury villas in Thailand or the Maldives. They will live like millionaires with Soneva, as they enjoy private butlers, fine gourmet dining prepared by our award-winning chefs and unforgettable experiences.' Ranging in size from three to nine bedrooms (Soneva Fushi) and three to six bedrooms (Soneva Kiri), Soneva’s large villas benefit from abundant natural light, lush foliage and picturesque views. The villas are made of sustainable materials and comprise detached living areas joined by wooden walkways, infinity swimming pools, generous outdoor living areas and large outdoor bathrooms. Most also offer walk-through dressing areas, walk-in kitchens and wine cellars, steam and sauna rooms, and large terraced areas with sun-loungers. Soneva Aqua, an ultra-luxurious yacht offering an experiential travel experience, will be launched in the Maldives later this year.Entries in the competition are on an individual basis (per person) and not per company.
