
Ahead of the legendary wildebeest migration, Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) and Kenya Airways have launched a three-month long marketing campaign called ‘choose Kenya’ to woo tourists from the GCC countries. The annual wildebeest migration in Masai Mara coincides with the high season and attracts thousands of tourists.
The campaign targets travel agents and tour operators who sell Kenya as a destination of choice. “We are inviting the travel trade to showcase the authentic safari experience, pristine beaches, the warmth of the Kenyan people, rich culture and much more to their clients,” says Kenya’s Consul General to Dubai Kariuki Mugwe.
Six top successful sellers will be awarded a luxury product knowledge tour to Kenya in October – during the fifth edition of Magical Kenya travel Expo. The campaign has been running since June 1 and will continue to August 31 this year and winners will be announced in September.
The campaign follows the successful launch of the Magical Kenya online training programme for travel agents unveiled in December last year and targeting operators in Qatar, Saudia Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE.
