An educational incentive to sell Switzerland along with travel passes is being offered to GCC travel agents.
Now in its second year, The Swiss Travel Pass SuperStar programme aims to support agents by increasing their sales and enriching their knowledge on Swiss destinations.It is presented by Rail Europe, Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Travel System in an effort to provide to their travel partners an edge in selling Switzerland with a Swiss Travel Pass. The programme runs over six months from May 1 until October 31 and aims to educate travel professionals on how to become an expert of rail products and to increase the sales of the pass. It includes six modules comprising 10 quizzes in each module. Each module will be activated the first day of each month and must be completed within 30 days. Participants must also upload information related to ticket sales (that is, ticket number and date of sale) by the 7th of the following month. The products for sale include the Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Card and Swiss Transfer Ticket.Certificates will be awarded to participants who complete all modules successfully and register a minimum of 70 points (42 from the quiz and 28 from Swiss Travel Pass sales). Participants will get 1 point for €50 ($53) worth of ticket sales and need to secure a minimum of 7 points out of 10 to be eligible for monthly prizes which include the iPad Mini 3, iPod Touch and Swiss watches by Bucherer.The top 10 winners from GCC travel agents will be invited for the grand prize ceremony and to enjoy the Grand Train Tour in Switzerland.Switzerland has one of Europe’s best public transport systems of trains, boats and buses and the Swiss Travel Pass is the ideal for unlimited travel with the system.
