FRHI confirms loyalty to agents

FRHI Hotels & Resorts reconfirms its ongoing commitment to the travel agent community with the continued promise of complimentary high-speed and wireless internet access to all FRHI loyalty club members, regardless of how customers book their travel experience.

This means members can make their reservation through their preferred booking channel including a travel agent, online or directly via the company’s proprietary reservation systems to receive this highly appreciated guest benefit, in addition to all others associated with its guest recognition programmes.

“Our philosophy is to work closely with travel agents in promoting our distinctive brands and hotels, provide them with tools and services to grow their commissions, and make it convenient and easy for them to do business with us,” says Jeff Senior, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer, FRHI Hotels & Resorts. “Our offer of free internet access to loyalty members, even when booking through an agent, underscores this commitment and shows the vital role these travel partners play in FRHI’s distribution strategy. We recognise the value of great relationships and understand the importance of these ongoing partnerships to our continued success.”

For travellers today, staying connected while on the road is as important as ever. As such, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has been offering all members of its guest recognition programme, Fairmont President’s Club (FPC), complimentary high-speed and wireless internet access in the guestroom, lobbies and other public spaces since January 2006. It was the world’s first luxury hotel brand to provide this service to frequent guests on a complimentary basis in all of its hotels globally. Members of the loyalty programmes for Fairmont’s sister brands, Raffles Ambassadors and Swissôtel Circle, also enjoy this benefit and all other FPC privileges on a reciprocal basis.

FPC members experience an enhanced level of service and special benefits and privileges during their stay. Personalised travel profiles afford them customised access to exclusive offers, experiences and benefits based around their indicated travel preferences, interests and passions. In addition to complimentary high-speed and wireless internet, in-hotel benefits include Fairmont Fit athletic apparel by Reebok, use of TaylorMade golf clubs in select locations, a members-only reservations line, expedited check-in and check-out and access to exclusive vacation experiences which connect guests with the very best the destination has to offer. Enrolment is free and guests can join at any Fairmont location worldwide or online.

FRHI also understands that whether it’s a tropical escape or an all important business trip, travel agents work diligently to provide meaningful experiences and personalised service to their clients. With this in mind, the company is proud to offer Famous Agents, a travel agent education, recognition and rewards programme. Featuring new and exciting ways to get the most out of booking rooms at FRHI locations globally, enrolment provides many benefits for travel industry experts who sell luxury travel. Agents who become leading authorities on the three leading hotel brands can earn fabulous rewards, including complimentary stays at hotels and resorts worldwide such as the Raffles Singapore, Swissôtel The Bosphorus, The Fairmont San Francisco and London’s The Savoy.

Travel agents can easily enrol in the programme at www.frhi.com/famousagents. Agents can also encourage their clients to join Fairmont President’s Club, which is complimentary.
