Laundry attendant, Hezron Jeremiah Onyango, was awarded runner up in the Unsung Hero category at the recent Hotelier Middle East Awards. Onyango displayed incredible kindness when he parted with an entire month’s salary last year to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan, and no one knew about it until the accounts team brought it up. Some credit is also due to his employer, InterContinental Doha The City, for acknowledging his benevolence.
