Dusit Devarana in Condé Nast’s hotlist
DUSIT Devarana New Delhi, the first hotel managed by Dusit Bird Group, the Indian joint venture company between Bird Hospitality Services and leading Asian hospitality group Dusit International, was named in Condé Nast Traveller India’s Hotlist for 2014 in the category of new hotels in India. Regally columned verandahs, elegant interiors, glimmering water bodies and spacious guest rooms equipped with state-of-the-art technology make Dusit Devarana an architectural marvel. The hotel is set against acres of lush, natural surroundings, only a few miles from the capital, making it an ideal destination for newlyweds, leisure or corporate travellers to rejuvenate the mind and body. The spa and culinary philosophies are also in line with the grandeur of its architecture to take the guests on a truly multisensory journey. Dusit Devarana New Delhi has also been awarded an NDTV Design & Architecture Award in the category of ‘Landscape Design of the Year 2014’ and received critical acclaim earlier this year from Travel + Leisure in its March 2014 Hotel Special Issue.KTM 2014 at Samudrika Convention CentreKERALA Travel Mart 2014 will be held from September 18 to 20 this year at a new venue called “Samudrika Convention Centre” located at the cruise terminal, Willingdon Island, Kochi, Kerala. A Kerala village theme is being planned for this edition of KTM, which will give a glimpse of the rural life of Kerala. Adding a plethora of responsible elements, the village life presents a wide range of opportunities for the tour operators to create itineraries based on the Kerala villages. The mart will also showcase Kerala, as an ideal spot for destination weddings as well as meetings, incentives, conferences and events. UK, Spain, Germany, France and Russia top the list of international buyers. However, the distinctive feature of this edition of KTM is the participation from relatively new markets for Kerala, like Australia (30 buyers), South Africa (12), Malaysia (36) and a good presence from Scandinavia, the Netherlands, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Latin American countries. All the 245 exhibitor stalls were sold out in a record two days. The familiarisation tours to seven different circuits have been another major highlight of the mart with most of the tours already booked to capacity.
