Al Ruwad to launch Al Jaddaf plots
AL RUWAD Real Estate Consultants has announced the launch of eight plots in the Al Jaddaf area in Dubai for investors in the hospitality industry. The 250.000 S/F plots of land are allocated for three- and four-star hotel projects, with over 2,200 hotel rooms. 40pc increase in Bahraini tourists to Turkey TURKEY remains one of the most popular holiday destinations for Bahrainis, according to the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office in Dubai, which found that Bahrainis visiting Turkey increased by 40 per cent during the first four months of this year compared to the same period in 2013. “Turkey remains a popular destination, not only for the GCC but globally,” said Mustafa Ozdemir, cultural and information attaché, Cultural and Information Office Turkish Consulate General in Dubai. “The GCC currently contributes 5 per cent of Turkey’s tourism revenue, with Bahrain being one of the highest contributors. In order to further increase visitors and highlight Turkey to Bahrain, we will be looking for opportunities to invest in tourism in order to foster sustainable growth and mutual understanding between our two countries.”

New luxury resort on Saadiyat IslandHIS Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Suroor al Nahyan has signed an agreement with Ali Mohamed Sadeq Al Baloushi, chairman of the Ghantoot Group, accompanied by Eng. Sami al Khuwaiter, the projects director of Sheikh Suroor Projects Department (SSPD), in early June to develop a luxury beach resort on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi.The agreement between SSPD and Ghantoot Group marks the start of the Dh860 million ($234 million) Saadiyat Island Resort Development project, due to be completed by the end of 2017. The luxury resort, designed by DBI Design – the architects behind the iconic Etihad Towers development in Abu Dhabi – will consist of a low-rise 295-room hotel comprised of four wings, a standalone spa and wellness centre, gymnasium, as well as state-of-the-art meeting rooms. The resort will include 11 luxury two-storey villas, including one exclusive private villa.
