GRAND Midwest Tower Hotel in Dubai has announced major renovation and modernisation plans.
The front lobby, reception and check-in counters, all day dinning – Zarita restaurant and recreation area will undergo a transformation and the new look will be ready to welcome its guests by October 2014. There will be changes in the coffee shop, back office and mini mart as well. The addition of a signature restaurant offering speciality cuisine, a high-capacity ballroom, a pool lounge at the recreation area, ATM machines and a gift shop at the lobby level are on the cards. Nadia Shah, general manager of Grand Midwest Group, says, “We are committed to offer excellence beyond what a four-star hotel can offer. The renovation plan reaffirms our competitive position in the market and makes us well prepared in time to welcome the EXPO 2020 tourism rush.”A new team of professionals in marketing and sales division has been appointed to ensure the brand is well perceived by the stakeholders and within the industry. “So far we have enjoyed continuous success across our properties, thanks to the opportunity given by the land, the loyalty of our guests and hard work of our team. It is time we translate this success into serving our guests better. The renovation plan is a natural solution to understanding and accommodating the needs of our guests and it is our effort to present enhanced experience, while still offering the same value. We are not just offering a great place to stay and connectivity with the city, but a friendly experience that will bring our guests back year after year.”The prestigious interior-designing firm Frances Studio from Ireland has been appointed to undertake the redesigning project and its key designer Martin Wayte has already made initial visits to discuss the areas of transformation and redesigning aspects of the plan. “Having completed design and supply of specialist features to “Club West” in 2012, I am delighted to be once again part of the Grand Midwest Tower renovation to ground and 1st floor,” Martin Wayte said, “We are presently at the design and drawing stage and will soon be ready to go to tender with a view to completing in early October of this year. Our aim is to give a five-star experience in a four-star hotel.”The brand will make strategic image changes through a streamlined colour theme across its properties soon.
