RAIL Europe has teamed up with Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Travel System to present a unique programme designed to support travel agents increasing their business and enriching their knowledge about Swiss destinations.
Three major players in the promotion of Switzerland as a destination are presenting the Swiss Pass SuperStar Programme in an effort to provide to their travel partners an edge in selling Switzerland with a Swiss Pass. Indeed the purpose of the programme is to educate the travel professional to become an expert of rail products and to increase the sales of the Swiss Pass.The Swiss Pass SuperStar Programme will run over a six-month period until October 31, 2014. The programme includes six modules comprising 10 quizzes in each module. Each module will be activated the first day of each month and must be completed within 60 days. To participate, travel professionals from the GCC countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait) should visit www.myswitzerland.com/superstar to sign up for free.Participants are required to upload information related to ticket sales (i.e. ticket number and date of sale) by the 7th of the following month. The products for sale include the Swiss Pass, Swiss Card and Swiss Transfer Ticket. Swiss Pass SuperStar certificates will be awarded to participants who complete all modules successfully and register a minimum of 100 points (40 from the quiz and 60 from Swiss Pass sales). Participants will get 1 point got 50 euros worth of ticket sale. Participants need to secure a minimum of 7 points out of 10 to be eligible for monthly prizes which include iPad Minis with retina display (16 GB), iPods (16 GB) and gift vouchers worth €100 ($138.5).Top 10 agents from GCC countries will be invited for the grand prize ceremony and an educational trip to Switzerland. A total of 50 points from all modules is required to be eligible for the grand prize.Switzerland has one of Europe’s best public transportation system comprising of trains, boats and buses.
