Millennium & Copthorne expands
MILLENNIUM and Copthorne, Middle East & Africa (MEA), has opened the iconic Kurdistan, Grand Millennium Hotel Sulaimani (pictured here), an architectural landmark being the tallest standing structure in the city.

The five-star deluxe property boasts 253 beautifully appointed rooms and suites with floor to ceiling windows.

The detailed contemporary interiors developed by David Wrenn Interiors include a number of stunning ornate and hand-crafted lighting features that create a striking visual impression in the luxury property.

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels will also soon be opening the Millennium Resort Hangzhou, the group’s first resort in China. Its opening in 2014 will mark a new milestone in its expansion in the Chinese mainland.

The resort is in a unique geographical area known for its natural beauty and is surrounded by the famous LongJing tea plantations.

It lies in the JiuXi (Nine Creek) district, with the QianTang River to the south, and Westlake Scenic Area to the north.  Nearby are world renowned attractions such as Liuhe Pagoda, Lingyin Temple and Song Dynasty Town.

Riyadh Marriott refurbishes
OPENED in 1980 and located in the heart of Riyadh, the Riyadh Marriott Hotel was Marriott International’s first property in the Middle East and Africa. Now, with the completion of an extensive multi-million-riyal refurbishment, the hotel has been taken to a new level of style and sophistication.

The newly refurbished Riyadh Marriott Hotel features one of Marriott Hotels’ signature new innovations – the ‘Great Room’ – which is being rolled out across all hotels in the region.

In Saudi Arabia, the Marriott Hotels brand is represented with locations in Riyadh, Jeddah and Madinah, with a new property in Makkah scheduled to open by Q4 of this year. This new five-star property is located near the Grand Mosque in the Jabal Omar development.
