All-star executive team joins Six Senses Zighy Bay

Oman’s leading resort Six Senses Zighy Bay has announced a great line-up of executives coming on board for the 2014 season and beyond: resort manager Paul Jordaan, executive chef Richard Lee and executive assistant manager in rooms (E.A.M.) Lizzie Baxter, have been welcomed to the fold.

The three newest additions to the management team join general manager Axel Jarosch on site at the multi award-winning beach and spa resort located on Oman's Musandam Peninsula. Vice-president of resort operations John Philipson commented on the recruitment, “We are extremely pleased to see Richard Lee and Lizzie Baxter take on their new roles; the experience obtained from Evason Ma’in, Jordan and Six Senses Con Dao, Vietnam adds strength to the resort’s management team. The addition of Paul Jordaan as resort manager further strengthens the team at the resort as it continues to grow and develop as a prime market leader and much lauded resort.”

Paul Jordaan brings to his role an extensive background in boutique luxury brands throughout Africa, Asia, Great Britain and North America. He relocated from a Regional General Manager position with Aman Resorts in India and Sri Lanka. Bringing with him a strong foundation of food and beverage management, Paul has been an Executive Manager since 2007 as Hotel Manager at Point Grace on Turks and Caicos, B.V.I. An avid outdoorsman, Paul is currently the resort’s only South African host, thus increasing the resort’s nationality lineup to twenty seven.

Richard Lee’s inter-company transfer as executive chef places him at his third Six Senses property; following three years as opening executive chef and brand champion at Six Senses Con Dao in Vietnam, and two years as Opening Executive Chef at Evason Ma’in in Jordan. Prior to joining Six Senses in 2008, Richard worked with Hilton Hotels throughout the UK, and has led professionally in the kitchen since 1997. Richard has wasted no time in his new position, already finalizing the senior members of the resort’s culinary team for 2014.

Lizzie Baxter joins as executive assistant manager in rooms alongside E.A.M. Isaline Goy. Also an inter-company transfer, Lizzie brings forth her experience from Evason Ma’in as Revenue Manager for two years and Six Senses Con Dao, as executive assistant manager for three years, which includes the resort’s opening. Prior to international exposure in 2008, Lizzie worked out of her home country in the UK from 1996, in room and revenue management for some prominent hotels.

General manager Axel Jarosch welcomed the executives to the resort just in time for the peak festive season, “Working alongside Paul and with the leadership of Richard, Lizzie and the experienced on-site management team is a strong way for us to finish out the year and begin the next. Together we aim to advance Six Senses Zighy Bay into its new era of crafted experiences.”
