
HILTON Worldwide brought its brand for the new generation of luxury travellers, for whom life, business and pleasure seamlessly intersect, to the UAE with the launch of the Conrad Dubai last month.
The 555-room luxury Conrad Dubai marks the entry of Conrad Hotels & Resorts into the region, after the company’s luxury brands regional opening of the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah hotel.
Located amid upscale living in Dubai’s bustling cosmopolitan business and shopping district, Conrad Dubai is within a short distance of the city’s traditional commercial landmarks such as Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre, and is also a convenient 10 minutes to the popular downtown area, as well as to Dubai Mall and Burj Khailfa.
General manager Mario Ferraro joined the property which has been in construction for the past five years, 18 months ago to prepare for the launch of the first Conrad in Dubai. He says: “Conrad means ‘luxury of being yourself’. It is a contemporary brand and its main brand pillar is ‘infinite connection’ – to connect people, local culture and innovation.” Ferraro adds that while the hotel is looking to attract guests from across the globe, it sees a strong opportunities in the leisure market from Europe and GCC as well as in the MICE segments.
Conrad Dubai boasts locally-inspired global design and tailor-made guest services. The hotel has staff strength of 750, of 71 nationalities. Featuring well-appointed and spacious accommodations-including a mix of deluxe rooms, executive rooms and a choice of two different styles of executive suites-all rooms offer rain showers, luxurious toiletries and the latest in-room technology with entertainment docking stations.
Conrad Dubai also offers the popular mobile Conrad Concierge app, which gives global luxury travellers the ability to customise details of their hotel stay before, during and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it’s pre-selecting bath amenities or checking-in while in-transit from the airport, guests can arrange access a variety of features at any of the 22 Conrad hotels worldwide by using the app.
Other amenities include an exclusive 5,500 sq m urban pool oasis on the hotel’s sixth floor, fitness and spa facilities include state of the art fitness equipment and an outdoor yoga pavilion and the Conrad Spa which is expected to open in November.
In addition, Conrad Dubai offers one of the largest meeting and event venues in the city with more than 4,400 sq m area, including two large ballrooms, three boardrooms, a business centre and 11 individual meeting rooms.
Dining and entertainment venues include the Latin Supper Club, Izel – a carnival of Latin Artistry with striking Mayan décor, Ballaro – an Italian all-day dining, Marco Pierre White Grill as well as the Purobeach Urban Oasis.
Guests in Dubai will be eligible to earn Hilton HHonors points, gaining worldwide rewards at more than 4,000 hotels across the globe.
