The Walk at JBR gets a facelift

DUBAI Properties Group (DPG) has announced significant enhancements to its flagship destination, The Walk at JBR in Dubai, UAE.  Work has already started on the enhancements with significant upgrades being made to the entire Walk area as well as the Plaza level (Bahar and Rimal areas).  DPG is also addressing concerns regarding traffic and pedestrian flows in and around JBR and The Walk by creating connectivity points with future tram stops.

Enhancements include new shaded areas to the many F&B and retail outlets along The Walk at street level, as well as improved streetscaping and access to the Plaza level via escalators leading to new and enhanced retail facilities. In addition, DPG is also making significant upgrades to the Plaza level areas at Bahar and Rimal to comprise new children’s play areas, as well as the creation of dedicated private areas for residents. DPG has also announced plans for a new boutique hotel and beach club located between the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and the newly constructed Al Fattan Crystal Towers.

 

Ferrari World to open every day soon

FERRARI World Abu Dhabi plans to move to a seven-day operational model later this year. The world’s only Ferrari-branded themed park which normally closes on Mondays, will be open 365 days a yea from the fourth quarter of 2013. Over the course of 2012, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi enhanced its entertainment offering even further with several new rides and attractions drawing in more crowds and now offers more than 20 Ferrari-inspired rides and attractions designed to inspire guests of all ages to find their drive, test their threshold for thrills and emerge winners.

 

Emirates, TUI India in agent agreement

EMIRATES Holidays, the tour-operating arm of Emirates airlines, and TUI India, the tour operating arm of Le Passage to India, have signed a memorandum under which TUI India will be the preferred agent for Emirates Holidays in India.

The MoU – announced by Marc Bennett, divisional senior vice president, Emirates destinations and leisure management; Arjun Sharma, managing director, Le Passage to India; and Jeannette Linfoot, director of tour operations, new markets, TUI Travel – aims to provide customers with competitively-priced, quality holiday experiences.

Le Passage to India will leverage its tour operating brand, TUI India, to promote Emirates Holidays across India. With a focus on collaboration to drive the development of outbound tourism in the country, the partnership is the initial phase of a strategy aimed at exploring supply and distribution opportunities between the two companies.

Emirates Holidays has also launched an extensive marketing campaign, ‘Hello Dubai’ across key cities in India to promote Dubai as a destination.
