It’s a pleasure doing business at the Sheraton Bahrain

THE Sheraton Bahrain is one of the most established hotels in the kingdom and remains an iconic part of the Manama skyline. I recently stayed at the hotel while on a business trip to Bahrain, which boasts a central location to the airport and main business district including the new Bahrain World Trade Centre.

I literally “flew” into the lobby to drop my bags before heading out for meetings, so it was a pleasure to be greeted by a smiling doorman who showed me where to park for a quick getaway while directing me to the lobby. Check-in was quick, with the receptionist enlightening me on the use of free internet (available only for certain room categories), which in my book is a must whether for business or leisure.

My standard room was spacious at 30 sq m with a living area, a work desk with tea- and coffee-making facilities and a full mini bar, and included complimentary spa access. Other room categories include Preferred rooms which although the same size as a traditional/standard room, include a walk-in shower and free access to the fitness centre, Club Rooms which provide Club lounge access, full buffet breakfast, spa access and butler service, 11 Junior suites and six Royal suites.

The Sheraton Bahrain has two award-winning restaurants – Soie Chinese restaurant and Golestans Iranian restaurant – in addition to the all-day dining Al Safir and the casual Al Nada lounge featuring live entertainment at night. For guests looking to do some shopping, the adjoining Moda Mall offers a range of local and international boutiques.
