AT CENTARA Hotels & Resorts, families form a large part of their business and the hotel has committed a large amount of its resources to providing family-friendly accommodation and facilities.
All the hotels and resorts by Centara offer the option of a king bed, or two queen beds, which provides comfortable sleeping arrangements for families with young children. Guests can also choose family rooms and suites which offer bunk beds for the kids, for a more cozy atmosphere.
The group’s properties offer accommodation free for up to two children under the age of 12, sharing their parents’ room, and if breakfast is included in the room rate, the kids enjoy a free breakfast too.
Centara’s family-friendly hotels offer a Kids’ Club staffed by qualified child-minders and divided into two sections: Camp Safari for the younger ones and E-Zone for the older children and teens. There are several leisure activities in the resort grounds and beach to keep the children entertained.

The Centara Grand West Sands Resort & Villas Phuket has been created around a vast water park. Dubbed “Splash Jungle”, it features 12 waterslides, including the huge and exhilarating Boomerango and the Super Bowl, along with a wave machine, and a lazy river that runs for 225 m through the park. There is a separate children’s pool, and for those who like a quieter life than might be found in the Splash Jungle, a large circular pool with Jacuzzi and jet streams.
At the popular beach resort of Karon, the Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket is the only five-star resort to have direct access to the beach. This new property takes its design theme from the classic Sino-Portuguese shophouses of Phuket Town, with the resort again being designed around a water park, although a more restrained one than that at West Sands. There are four swimming pools here, including a pool for the youngsters and a Jacuzzi pool, and the park includes a lazy river, waterslides and waterfalls.
The Centara Karon Resort Phuket offer residential zones with a nine-storey wing that features spacious rooms, each with its own oversize terrace, and with the option of a private outdoor Jacuzzi. Set around one of the resort pools, The Lagoon offers studio rooms that can accommodate two adults and three children. Tropicale offers premium deluxe rooms and suites in Club category while The Cabanas are individual accommodations in a garden setting, each with its own terrace and Jacuzzi pool, offering space, privacy and luxury. There are three swimming pools within the resort, each with a children’s pool, and with a long waterslide that is fun for adults and kids alike.
