R Hotels launches Ramada Ajman
R HOTELS, the hotels and hotel management arm of R Holdings, has announced a four-star deluxe property, Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman. Located on the Corniche Road, the 107-rooms and suites hotel overlooks the beach and beautiful waters of the Arabian Gulf, an ideal place for both business and leisure travellers.
Ramada Beach Hotel Ajman offers spacious and well-appointed suites and rooms. Most of the rooms have private balconies with a panoramic sea view. Aspen reopens at Kempinski MOE
THE popular Aspen lobby lounge has reopened at the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates following a complete refurbishment and repositioning this summer. Minor Hotel Group opens first Oaks in Asia
MINOR Hotel Group (MHG) has opened its first Oaks property in Asia and announced a further new Oaks to open in China next year. Oaks Hotels & Resorts is one of the leading providers of serviced apartments in Australasia and the UAE, which Minor Hotel Group took over ownership of in 2011. Its latest addition is the Oaks Bangkok Sathorn, the 41st in the brand’s portfolio and the first of its planned expansion into Asia.
Oaks Bangkok Sathorn is located in the heart of the Thai capital’s business and entertainment districts, in a central twin tower precinct offering travellers the option of short and longer stays in fully serviced, spacious, self-contained apartments. The 115 apartments are generously proportioned with separate bedrooms, a living area and kitchen in a choice of studio, one-, two- or three-bedroom configurations, ranging from 39 up to 185 sq m.
Following the new addition in Thailand, Oaks Sanya in China will be the next to join the portfolio when it opens in late 2013.

Hyatt Regency Qingdao opens doors
HYATT Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Qingdao, introducing the brand to China’s booming coastal city in the Shandong province.
Ideally positioned for business and pleasure, Hyatt Regency Qingdao is located in Laoshan District and offers 439 guestrooms, including 25 suites with views of the ocean or beach through floor-to-ceiling windows. High-tech in-room amenities include a 40-inch LED flat-screen TV with cable/satellite programming, as well as high-speed broadband and wireless Internet access.
The city’s most opulent VIP suites can also be found at Hyatt Regency Qingdao. Starwood launches Sheraton Aktobe
STARWOOD Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has signed an agreement with Akcept Contraction LLP to open a new-build Sheraton hotel in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. Scheduled to debut in early 2014, Sheraton Aktobe will mark Starwood’s entry into Kazakhstan. The Sheraton Aktobe is part of the company’s strategic expansion plan to open more than 60 Sheraton hotels around the world in the next three years.
Situated in a prime central location in the city, the Sheraton Aktobe will feature 177 rooms, an all-day dining venue, a signature restaurant and two bars, including one with panoramic city views. The Sheraton Aktobe will offer extensive modern meeting and function spaces, including a ballroom for special events. Signature Sheraton experiences will include the luxurious all-white SweetSleeper beds, the Sheraton Club LoungeLounge and the Link@Sheraton. The hotel will also offer the signature Sheraton Shine Spa and an indoor swimming pool.
Rixos opens its first Residences in Istanbul
RIXOS opened its third property in Istanbul and the first residential property, Rixos Residences Bomonty.
