Corp targets Latin market with special packages

With the increase in flight connections between Dubai and Spain, as well as growth from South America, the Corp Executive Apartments – Al Barsha has launched a special package targeting these Latin markets.

According to general manager Aamir Pervez, while the numbers currently are small, there is huge potential to develop new business by tailoring the hotel offering to suit the needs of these visitors.

“Every visitor market has its own characteristics, and one thing we have learned about the Latin market is that they are not totally dependent on the beach for their activities,” he said.  “Obviously, with the on-going financial crisis, one non-negotiable requirement is for quality accommodation at affordable rates, plus value-added bonuses – and the Corp Executive Apartments fulfils all these criteria.”

In addition to 10 per cent discount on rates, the package includes free airport transfers, free Wi-Fi, a breakfast deal that includes one free meal, one at a special AED42 rate and kids eat free – the deal runs for three months this summer and is valid for a minimum stay of three nights, subject to availability.

Visitors from Spain numbered nearly 34,000 in 2011, but this total is set to rise following the launch by Emirates of flights from Dubai to Barcelona earlier this month, in addition to a new second daily service to Madrid.

The airline has only been flying to Spain since August 2010, but demand has prompted the introduction of more flights, raising expectations of a strong boost in both business and leisure traffic.

“In addition, Dubai received more than 80,000 visitors from Latin America in 2011, and again, this figure is likely to rise substantially following the introduction of services from Dubai to Rio to Janeiro and Buenos Aires earlier this year,” said Pervez.

The 143-unit Corp Executive Apartments – Al Barsha is located next to the Mall of the Emirates, offering smoking and non-smoking apartments, some with balconies, and all featuring a separate lounge, kitchen, guest toilet, bathrooms with walk-in showers and televisions in both living room and bedroom.
