IHG signs first hotel in Algeria
INTERCONTINENTAL Hotels Group (IHG) has signed its first hotel in Algeria, the 243-room Holiday Inn Algiers-Cheraga Tower. IHG’s Director of Development, France and North Africa, Brice Marguet said that the Holiday Inn would fill a significant gap in the market as there were no internationally branded midscale hotels in Algiers.
At 75 m high, the 25-storey hotel will become one of the tallest buildings in Algiers. The hotel will feature 500 sq m of meeting space and a restaurant with 145 covers. Guests will have access to a spa with indoor swimming pool and fitness facilities, as well as an outdoor swimming pool.
Holiday Inn Algiers-Cheraga Tower will be located to the west of the city, half an hour from the Algiers International Airport Houari Boumediene, which receives direct flights from major European cities including London, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and Istanbul.
Grand Tremezzo unveils new rooftop floor
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como recently inaugurated its all-suites Rooftop Floor. Comprising of eight lavishly-appointed suites, décor elements of the suites boast classic contemporary touches with a hint of old-world charm.
The fifth floor of the palace now includes three Rooftop Junior Suites, three Rooftop Corner Suites and two Rooftop Front Suites which can all be combined together to create a Rooftop Penthouse featuring up to eight bedrooms.
Each of the suites boasts of their own private terrace, outdoor heated Jacuzzi’s, butler services and panoramic views of the lake. Luxury bathrooms throughout the floor feature Cedarstone and Imperial marble with double basins, luxurious bathtubs overlooking the room’s views and separate rain-shower.

New rooms at Radisson Blu Sharjah
THE Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah is currently undergoing soft refurbishment of 212 rooms and suites to improve the overall quality and ambience of the hotel.
