Hilton Worldwide has signed an agreement with Egyptian Touristic Resorts LLC, to introduce two new premium Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties to Cairo and Alexandria. The dual signing for the 390-room Hilton Giza Pyramids and the 195-room Hilton Alexandria King’s Ranch Resort represent the 19th and 20th Hilton properties to open in Egypt.

Hilton Giza Pyramids, which is set to be Hilton Worldwide’s sixth property in the capital, will command panoramic views of the Pyramids and the Sphinx. The hotel’s 390 rooms include 18 suites and will feature a wealth of facilities and conveniences designed to appeal equally to both the business and leisure traveller. Amenities include a large function room, two boardrooms, four meeting rooms, a business centre, health club, spa, outdoor swimming pool, a variety of restaurants and is expected to open in 2016.
The Hilton Alexandria King’s Ranch Resort is set to become a stylish and conveniently located landmark hotel aimed at the business and leisure traveller to Egypt’s second largest city. Located close to the recently expanded Borg Al Arab International Airport the hotel will feature a large function room, four large meeting rooms, a business centre and an outdoor and indoor pool. On site dining facilities will include a speciality restaurant and an all-day dining option as well as an executive lounge, a destination bar and a lobby lounge. Hilton Alexandria King’s Ranch Resort is the brand’s second hotel in Alexandria and is expected to open at the end of 2013.
The Group also signed an agreement with Inveravante Group that will see the brand mark its entry with two new premium hotels in the historic city of Tangier. The two properties, Hilton Tanger City Centre Hotel & Residences and Hilton Garden Inn Tanger City Centre will form part of Tanger City Centre, a large upscale, mixed-use development promoted by Inveravante, and including the city’s largest shopping mall, quality residential accommodation as well as commercial office space. The 182-room Hilton Tanger City Centre Hotel & Residences will include 19 suites with an additional 68 stylish hotel apartments which will be available for purchase ahead of the hotel’s scheduled spring 2015 opening date. Guests can enjoy on-site conveniences such as a fitness area and outdoor pool as well as a restaurant and two bars.
Further ahead, the Group announced that Pezula Resort & Spa, one of South Africa’s leading resorts, is set to join the luxury portfolio of Conrad Hotels & Resorts following the signing of a management agreement with resort owners, Alderney Establishment. Conrad Pezula Resort & Spa, which is expected to rebrand in November 2012, will be located in Knysna, a popular tourism hotspot, located in the Western Cape, between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the picturesque Garden Route Southern coastline. The hotel will host 78 stylish suites housed in detached villas and five larger, architecturally designed family villas as well as Pezula’s award winning private castle, built into the cliff face and overlooking Noetzie Beach.
