HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings recently held its annual general managers Conference at the brand new - Corp Executive Al Khoory Hotel, Al Wasl Dubai, with delegates flying in from all over the Middle East and Africa. Led by Michel Noblet, president & CEO, HMH, the group was the first to experience the hotel that is on track to open before Eid.
With a packed agenda, it turned out to be a busy day. Michel Noblet observed, “It was one of our best meetings with a great mix of serious discussions and fun from both general managers and HMH executives. We were proud to hold it in Corp Executive Al Khoory Hotel that offers excellent conference facilities and easy access to Dubai’s prime business and leisure attractions.”
The day began with some superb presentations by GMs highlighting the ‘Success Factors’ at their respective hotels. Pierre Sokhon, regional general manager, Coral Hotels & Resorts, said, “It gave us a brilliant opportunity to share ideas while learning from each other’s day to day experiences.”
Other topics focused on the group’s sales and e-commerce strategy, quality compliance and code of conduct, IT innovations, finance and business review. One of the most compelling presentations was done on HACCP Compliance by Dr Rafiq Al Khatib, managing director, RMK.
The conference was interspersed with plenty of fun, fizz and frolic too on the fringe. ‘Working Together’ was the theme for team building activity where general managers outshined each other with their culinary skills and creativity – dishing out delicious canapés that were served for afternoon tea. The winning team was led by Amr Hamed, general manager, Liwa Executive Suites by Coral Hotels & Resorts.
The day ended with a gala dinner hosted in the honour of Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory, Chairman of Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory and Sons - the owning company of Corp Executive Al Khoory Hotel. He was presented with the HMH Award for “The Best New Hotel” 2012 for the outstanding quality of Corp Executive Al Khoory Hotel.
