Golf Concierge comes to Fairmont

FAIRMONT Hotels & Resorts’ has partnered with Troon Golf to train the concierge and Fairmont Gold staffs at Fairmont Dubai and Fairmont Bab al Bahr in Abu Dhabi to better serve the needs of golf travellers. As a result of this new emphasis, Fairmont Bab al Bahr has added a golf vacation package to its extensive list of offerings. The Tea In and Tee Off Golf Package from now until September 30, 2012 and offers a one night accommodation in a luxuriously appointed guestroom, one round of golf for two people at either Abu Dhabi Golf Club or Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, complimentary afternoon tea for two in the Chocolate Gallery and use of the health club, pool and beach area. Prices start at Dh1,049 ($285) exclusive of tax and service charge.
Rotana set to launch in Turkey
ROTANA announced the signing of its first agreement in Iskenderun, Turkey, with Rhossos Tourism and Hospitality Ltd to manage the city resort 300-room Rhossos Rotana Resort and Serviced Apartments. The hotel is expected to open in 2014 and will feature a 200 m private beach front, a Turkish spa & health club, a business centre, large wedding and banqueting facilities, swimming pool and a variety of Food & Beverage outlets.
Starwood launches Aloft in Sharjah
STARWOOD Hotels & Resorts will open its first Aloft in Sharjah in early 2015. Located on the beachfront of the Corniche Road, the new-build Aloft Sharjah will feature 286 guest rooms with signature loft-like ceilings and plush platform beds as well as walk-in showers and Bliss amenities. Each room will be equipped with complimentary wi-fi access and a plug-and-play connectivity solution which connects most electronic devices to the 40-inch flatscreen TV, turning the room into a high-tech office as well as an entertainment centre.
