
HILTON Hotels & Resorts has marked its entry into Lebanon with the opening of two hotels in the capital, Beirut and in Qatar with the Hilton Doha.
Owned by the UAE-based conglomerate Al Habtoor Group, the 183-room Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace and its sister property, the 195-room Hilton Habtoor Grand have opened as Hilton-branded hotels following a five month conversion programme. The two hotels are well equipped to deal with the most discerning leisure or business traveller.
Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand boasts a number of exceptional facilities including a business centre, four large meeting rooms and the largest function and conference room in the city with capacity for 3,500 people.
Guests can also enjoy a state-of-the-art health club, two swimming pools, three restaurants and two bars. Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace features an 820-capacity function room as well as a health club, swimming pool and a choice of five restaurants.
In Doha, the 309-room Hilton Doha is ideally located on the headland of the capital city’s prestigious Corniche and boasts a number of leading features including a 750-capacity ballroom, a dedicated conference wing and the first eforea: spa at Hilton in the Middle East.
The hotel also features seven state-of-the-art meeting rooms, six restaurants and bars, an outdoor swimming pool, a kids club, a private beach and a view of the Arabian Gulf from every bedroom. Hilton Doha will also open Qatar’s very first Trader Vic’s bar and restaurant.

Hilton Worldwide and Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), part of Faisal Holding Company LLC, one of Qatar’s largest private diversified industry groups will also open two new DoubleTree by Hilton properties in the Qatar capital, Doha. Both developments, the 145-room DoubleTree by Hilton Doha - Al Sadd and the 240-room DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Doha, are expected to open in 2014 and will join a further three Hilton Worldwide pipeline properties due to open in Qatar over the next three years.
