JUMEIRAH at Etihad Towers, a member of the luxury hotel group Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, announced at the Gulf Incentive Business Travel and Meetings (GIBTM) Exhibition held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi that demand and advanced bookings for its Conference Centre facilities and event banqueting services are increasing, resulting in the number of planned events targeted for 2012 to exceed the original forecasts.

Speaking at GIBTM, the leading event for the meetings, incentives and business travel industry in the GCC Region, Doris Greif, general manager, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers stated: “Since opening in November 2011, both awareness and bookings for our Conference Centre have continued to grow. The state-of-the-art technology, refined luxury interiors, gourmet banqueting options and in-house support services available at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Conference Centre have provided new options for clients to hold bespoke events in spectacular surroundings. We see our Conference Centre as a setting of elegance and “theatre” for clients to add their own individualised flair, and this approach has been warmly welcomed by event organisers and their clients.”

Since the hotel’s opening, demand for the Conference Centre as a venue for local cultural exhibitions and events, and regional conferences in particular have witnessed increased demand, as too has demand for the centre as a venue for wedding events. With awareness of the property growing overseas as the first Jumeirah property to open in Abu Dhabi, demand from international clients is expected to increase significantly from 2013 due to the tendency of international clients to plan events at least 12 to 18 months ahead.

Designed to enhance the seamless coordination of events and uninterrupted flow of visiting guests and delegates, the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Conference Centre, including its Mezzoon ballroom, all 13 meeting rooms, Chairman Suite, Bridal Suite, Business Centre and Events Showroom, is all housed on the same Podium 4 Level. As one of the largest conference centres in Abu Dhabi, the Mezzoon ballroom alone can accommodate up to 1,400 guests in a conference setting or 1,000 guests for a sumptuous and individualised seated banquet dinner.

A dedicated event planner is available on hand throughout the pre, post and event stages to provide professional assistance, expertise and guidance.

At Jumeirah at Etihad Towers we don’t see ourselves as simply hosting events, rather we help orchestrate “fine theatre. This is where our competitive edge lies,” says Greif.
