THE latest addition to the Meydan Group has been the opening of its nine-hole floodlit golf course, which opened in March at Meydan City in Dubai. The golf course has been developed by Meydan Group and golf specialist Troon Golf who will also be responsible in managing the site.
Abdin Nasralla, vice president for Meydan Hotel & Hospitality said, “We are very excited to bring the element of golf into the Meydan City, which is part of our initiative to develop Meydan into a leisure and business destination. Guests to the new golf course will not need to pay membership fees, instead implementing a pay-to-play system.
“Today, we have some of the finest facilities at Meydan, from this newly opened golf course to a one-of-a-kind tennis academy, with state-of-the-art facilities and surpassing any other facility in the region.”
A new tennis court for kids was recently added to the facilities, to promote the sport to the residents of Dubai, while making Meydan a sports and leisure destination for international guests. Tennis 360 has been appointed to manage the operations of the Meydan Tennis Academy.
“This together with our spa and meeting facilities, easily make Meydan the most sought after destination for leisure and business guests, alike,” said Nasralla.
“From tennis, to golf to horse-riding, Blokart sailing or hiring a trikke bike Meydan today is very much a Sporting destination and we hope to expand our offerings to our guests further,” he added.
For guests looking for some beach activities, Meydan opened their Beachclub, located on Dubai Marina. “With the opening a beach club in the Dubai Marina area.
