The Oetker Collection, an inspiring selection of masterpiece hotels including Palais Namaskar in Marrakech, Morocco, Le Bristol in Paris, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, Château Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence and the Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, is proud to announce its affiliation with respected international charity ShelterBox.

Providing emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world at times of disaster, ShelterBox was founded 11 years ago and has since responded to almost 200 natural or manmade disasters in 75 countries, providing lifesaving aid for over 100,000 families.

As phase one of a proposed long-term CSR engagement with ShelterBox, the Oetker Collection has made a sustainable donation of €21,000($27,340)to the ShelterBox Disaster Fund. Each of the Oetker Collection Hotels will support this first step of the initiative, donating equally to fund 28 of the large, green ShelterBoxes that contain the tailored relief equipment needed to help a family survive in the aftermath of a disaster.

Speaking about the affiliation, Oetker Collection’s CEO Frank Marrenbach said, “As a company we understand ourselves to be world citizens with a responsibility to the social environment. We wanted to address this responsibility with a concerted Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. We chose to support ShelterBox with its European background, because of its strong credentials as a firmly established organization making a difference at the forefront of international disaster relief. ShelterBox has an impressive power to affect lives for the better.”
